Sebastian Swims

HIM: I am rapidly coming to the end of law school, year 2. This means a monstrous research paper and final exams. However, survival takes several forms. One is Vanessa's amazing omelettes. They (with orange juice) have helped to keep my health up enough to study. Secondly, I have to take a moment to breathe sometimes. Visiting this site constitutes one of those breaths. Having not posted since February, I thought I would add this comic strip.

Sebastian has been doing swimming lessons for a little over a month now and has loved it! He's swimming without floaties and has pretty good form. His instructor wants him to be on the swim team next month, in fact. I imagine that their lessons go a lot like this:

Angel and Buffy..

HER: From time to time, Frank and I pick a TV series to watch. We either Netflix it or borrow it from someone.
We have been keeping up with quite a few series, trying to fit the time in between our busy schedules.
Last year, we kept up with Smallville, Heroes, Csi, Supernatural...
I picked up 30 rock, which I have to suggest, It is hilarious!!
The office, Friends and a few episodes of In the motherhood.
Recently, Frank and his Friend Chris W. Suggested Buffy and Angel. I remembered my sister watching "Buffy the Vampire slayer" back at my parents house while still playing on the WB channel. Probably passed by the screen and wondered what kind of show that was?
However, now that Frank has introduced me into the world of the supernatural. I decided to give it a try. He had mention how much he loved this show and I must confess I really enjoy it.

While the story shows an All American young girl with her group of supportive friends that help her on her mission of fighting a war against vampires, werewolves, ghosts and demons, struggling to balance the fight with their complex social lives. Frequently saving the world from its end.
Her love affair with a Vampire cursed with a Soul (Angel) and the deception of this prohibited love.
Angel works as a "private detective", helping the "helpless" and to restore their faith and save the souls of those who have lost their way.
Both of this shows are obviously connected. I personally find them really enjoyable. They capture the romance, drama, comedy. With a combination of physical combat and detective-style investigation.
We haven't finish them yet. But I can't wait to see what happens next.

With all this action on the screen going on. I am really hoping Frank and I would have the chance to get back to our summer fencing sessions at the beach! Last year, I had a blast kicking his.. .
while showing my Joan of Arc's moves in battle.
Now, he is amazing in martial arts. We have tried to simulate a couple of moves at home, it takes him 3 mins and I am on the floor. Duke and Dexter become his allies then, so of course, they give me no chance, 3 boys and 1 girl.. makes me wonder.. "Where is the fairness on that?"

I wish I had my pink boxing gloves here. Hoping to get back into Kickboxing soon.

Maintaining Silence...

HER: Haven't been blogging much lately -not pictures of Sebastian, Duke and Dexter, the Fam, our adventures, not odd & . I'll explain:

Sebastian has been taking swimming lessons, busy with school, socializing with classmates and kids around the neighborhood, building all sorts of amazing stuff with Lego's. Ah... unbelievable fascinating.

Frank has been working on his ALWR and getting ready for finals.

We have been busy with the pups running around and fighting a battle against fleas. -Pouring powder on the carpets, washing them afterwards, spraying the dogs, bathing them, flea collars.. Shaving their undercoat (Frank spent countless hours on the bathroom floor with each of the pups and did a fantastic job!).
The great news is that we can now shout VICTORY! :). I haven't seen any flee for two weeks now.

I, been busy with work. I am aware of the Economy crisis, but we haven't slow down. In fact we have had one of the busiest months. Private parties (Last month we had Billy Joel, Paula Dean, Ming Tsai, among others). Also, the restaurant got nominated for a "James Beard award".
Working some off sites and making some truffles and desserts at home for special occasions.
With that, I got to add... been working on the house quite a bit but it just seems impossible to catch up with my ironing and finish my spring cleaning for good.

There... those of you who are parents know just how amazing it is that I managed to get even these few lines typed.
For more pictures and updates, there is always Facebook.

D&D

HER: Duke and Dexter.. enjoyed some floor time with us too. =)

Beautiful Saturday...

HER: What a beautiful Saturday, it truly was.
Sebastian and I woke up and decided to sat outside on the porch for a bit, taking some fresh air and looking outside, we both agreed on what a beautiful morning it was. While zipping on my iced coffee while he was enjoying his milk, talking about what kind of crazy things we dreamt of and imagining what would happened if Super mommy had come to save him from his crazy dream.
What a relaxed and meaningful time this was, since I am usually rushed by time every morning.
After a while, we decided to get ready and hop into Frank's convertible and head to an egg hunt at this beautiful park by the beaches. After our slow morning start, we decided to hurry and hoped we could make it on time. Despite of our efforts, we were 5 minutes late. By the time we arrived, the hunt was over. We decided to stick around at the park anyway and enjoy the sun. We played for a bit, ran around the play area pretending to be pirates. Climbing the walls, going up and down the slides and roaming through the tunnels, between laughs and all the exploring we decided to head out and pick up something refreshing. Sebastian's choice was frozen yogurt from yoga berry. While deciding on "where to head next?" We went for a walk at the beach. It was so gorgeous and so peaceful.
We did a little shopping afterwards. It had been forever since we went to the stores so we decided to have some fun. We saw a few star wars bubble head figures and he thought they were the weirdest but funniest looking nick knacks ever. Read a few books and tried some sun glasses on. After picking up a few things, we were heading back home to meet with Frank. He had stayed home to work on a paper for school.
That night we all enjoyed coloring eggs together. Our eggs turned out to be gorgeously bright!
