HALLOWEEN 2007

HER: So it is true... *FRANK'S PUMPKIN HEAD CUSTOM BECAME FAMOUS IN FLORIDA!!*
Surely, we all had fun carving our pumpkins as he carved one that would perfectly fit his head. An improved version for this year's HALLOWEEN PARTY!! His creativity and effort paid off by winning *Best Custume*** YAY!!

HIM: As you can see, Vanessa makes a beautiful Indian princess. =) Sebastian seemed to enjoy the opportunity to dress up as well.

This year was a lot of fun. We went to a Halloween party at the beach for students at FCSL. My Great Pumpkin costume got us a $45 gift certificate to Outback Steakhouse, so it made it all the better! In case you'd never seen my Great Pumpkin costume, here was last year's version 1.0:

Our Last Softball Game @ 2:00

HIM: Well, we've had a fun season. Many of us have never before played softball, while others played elsewhen. There are even some with natural talent on the field. There were a couple of practices where only a handful showed up, but those who did made me proud to be on the team. As for the games, we haven't won as many as we'd hoped, but we have one final chance today. The other team is supposedly one of the best in the league, so I've only got 2 things to wish for. That we (1) try to make fewer mistakes than our opponent and (2) have a great time out there together. If we can do both of those, we can close out the season happy. That being said... I want all 'o you bums at the field by 1:30 so we stretch, throw and get psyched for the game at 2:00. See you then!

Adventure Landing

HIM: We finally made it to Adventure Landing! We had a good time, but that poor place is clearly lacking in coordinated management... It seemed more like a villain's headquarters than an amusement park. There was an alligator pond in front and the arcade was woefully run down. The manager who paced the floor was a taskmaster who, when the game or ride ate your tokens or tickets (which was every other time), treated you like a criminal. However, the mini golf was better and there was a little go-kart track that we rode on. I believe it was the most ghetto amusement park I've ever been to, but we had a great afternoon...

Unbelievable weekend...

Her: There is not a better way to relax than going to Disney after mid-terms week!

This past weekend was THE BEST TIME AT DISNEY EVER!. It was Sebastian's first time at Mickey Mouse Land, so he was extremely excited about this trip. (talked and dreamt of it all week long).

Frank's midterms ont été finis!!, so I was really happy for him plus I had the whole weekend off!

On Saturday morning, running a few minutes behind, we were heading onto 95 south on our way to Orlando. Two of Frank's classmates were part of this adventure! Seth (Best Disney Tour Guide Friend Ever!) and Tierney (Fun and Sweet Canadian friend).

Seth had planned this trip for a few weeks. Made the arrangements at the Old Key West Resort for accommodations! (Thank you so much!) and pre-bought the park hopper passes which were a great deal!!

Knowing his way around the parks, like his hometown, we did not have time to waste! We were on a MISSION!, "TO HAVE FUN".

We started at Epcot and then followed to Magic Kingdom.

Weather was great, the company Superb!, so much to do, so much to see and enjoy, fast passes are definitely a bright idea.

Disney is always a great place to be, the fireworks, the lights, all the happy people. There is definitely MAGIC!. It is Fairy Land after all!

After the PARADE, We closed the day with SPLASH MOUNTAIN!. By then Sebastian was so exhausted he felt asleep before the ride started and slept through UNBELIEVABLE!
On Sunday, after a long day Saturday, we lay out and relax at the resort, Went to the hot tub, up and down the water slide.
Before lunch, Frank, Sebastian and I enjoyed a short drive on racing boats around downtown Disney!

WHAT A FANTASTIC TIME!

Adventure Landing Tomorrow @ 1:00

HIM: At 1:00 tomorrow, we will be heading over to Adventure Landing for some fun. If you're interested, drop me an email or gimme a call so that we can know to expect you!

Softball Game Sunday @ 1:30

HIM: Be at the new field by 1:30 on Sunday. Use the "printable version" from the website to get directions and such. Also, try to leave early so you can make it there in time. From what I can see on the map, it's about the same distance/time as the old field.

For the 5 of you (Adriana, James, Jason, Jill, and Seth...) who made it to practice yesterday -- THANKS! :) We had a great time and now we're all capable of playing infield.

Next game, I want to see cameras (followed by getting photos to me) so we can put more on the website besides "blah, blah, blah". Pictures of our events make the blog so much more fun! =)

Have a great weekend and make sure you check out the latest "Sebastianism" (kinda sounds like a cult...) from Vanessa's post. He has a girlfriend! ...or did a couple of days ago anyway.

You know four year olds... Learning to clean up after themselves, stay within the lines in coloring books, and fear relationship commitments that results in long-term obligations... I'm sure years down the road (like when he's 8) he'll reflect back on the "wild years" and appreciate those reckless and carefree life experiences.

Sebastian's girlfriend.... WHAT???????????

HER: So... It is true... Sebastian has a girlfriend...
In the past, he has had friends that were girls that hugged him all the time and he would say... "We are the best of friends".
Now, the situation has changed a little.
Yesterday, after I picking him up from preschool,
he says MOMMY!!! Did you see her?
V: Who? Miss Denise?
S: No, Gracie!
V: Gracie? Who is Gracie?
S: She is my girlfriend. The girl riding the bicycle.
V: Ah.... so your girlfriend you said?
S: Uh um... She loves me, she hugs me all the time and tells me she loves me...
V: I see....
S: Her hair is dark like mine so we match! She has big eyes but her skin is lighter...
V: I see....
S: "Can we bring her home? so that we can play with my puzzles and stuff".
V: I see...
S: You can prepare dinner for us. Please mommy, let's turn around and pick her up!
V: Turn around?
S: Yeah. Maybe I should take my four wheeler so that we can ride together to our apartment mommy.
V: Sebastian, that is a nice thought but we should ask her mom first. Maybe they can visit.
S: I need to talk to my daddy, Can we call him? ....
Sebastian's first love? What? What a shock? Should I smile? Should I laugh? should I say Aw..?
For the rest of the day, he talked about Gracie and various activities that would sound like fun.

Good Question

HIM: So, we just got back from Disney yesterday. Expect a full summary of the weekend soon. However, I wanted to share this comic strip with you because it is so "Sebastian".

Frankly...

HIM: As you can see, Vanessa, Sebastian and I have all been very busy lately. It has been said to me that I haven't updated you lately on Law School. Even though it's midterm week and I have a Contracts exam tomorrow, I'm taking a short break from studying to make a quick post. =)

Things are going great here in Florida. I've made so many awesome and brilliant friends at school. Classes are a lot of work and simultaneously enjoyable. My professors are all engaging. Our softball team has had 5 practices (3 of which were games...) and we've yet to win, but we've come very close in 2 of them and are getting better every time. There's not much else to say, but to check out this video for the most accurate depiction of the first-year law student. Hilarious AND true. ;)

Vanessa and I get to see each other only for a couple of hours each day right now, because I'm studying most of the day away. Still, it's great to share those few moments with her when I can find them. The weather is a bit rainy right now, so we can't head down to the beach (30 minutes from our apartment...!), but we're going to Disney tomorrow after softball practice! Expect good pictures when we get back!

Time to study some more... Drop me a line if you get a chance and have a great day!

A week Later....

HER: Last Tuesday, The 25Th of September was Sebastian's Fourth Birthday. Busy, baking cupcakes and preparing treat bags for classmates and extras I couldn't post this. They are a few pictures of the last year that I wanted to share with you all!

I have always said Sebastian was an old man trapped in a little kid body. The way he acts, conducts, thinks and express himself. Despite of that, he is still a kid, a great kid.

Dear Son,
I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I don't know the right way to express the love that I have for you, neither find a way to say what a blessing you have been in my life. Thank you for being such a fantastic son, for smiling and laughing and making my everyday.
For being my best friend, my buddy, my date, my everything... For jumping along with me in this adventure of life. I LOVE YOU.
