Puppy Playdate!

HER: When we became parents of Duke and Dexter we assumed responsibilities, we recognized that puppies take as much time, love and attention as children do.
Making sure they are fed, clean, happy, healthy, well-socialized, well-exposed to other children and puppies, some training, and a long list of activities and duties are part of our everyday priorities....
Today they got to enjoy a play date with their buddy Roman, a Great Dane, whose owner Tierney, a very dear friend of ours and classmate of Frank's invited us to their favorite spot. They got to chase some ducks, jump in and out of the water countless times, tag each other and run all over the place...
It is so good to watch them run and loving life just like that =).
I am so proud of our awesome pair of furries...

Learning is fun, fun, FUN!

Torta di Limoncello

HER: Florida has been simply fabulous and lately incredible cold.

While most people are enjoying some winter fun (for the ones that got snow); skiing, sledding, forming snow angels, you name it ;). I am nostalgically missing it, just not the fun, but the way the snow and ice sparkle when the sun reflects on it while sitting on a tree., (always thought it looked like jewels), how pretty, peaceful and clean the view may be. One thing about Jacksonville, is that the winter isn't as white and the fall isn't as beautiful but the summer is just super awesome and I am already impatient for the warm / hot weather to get here, find a great spot whether at the beach or the pool with a great book and lay out, time for beach walks or a run, put on the wet suit or some fencing gear and enjoy the weekend.

As a food fanatic... I think food, I dream of it... I sense it, smell it, taste it while still a vague thought... I create, I make it happen.. I love it all and I crave some many things... One of the most enjoyable things to do when thinking food, is enjoying a wine or spirit, in other words "Lift your spirits high".
the dessert of the day, was a classic... torta di limoncello my way... a bite.. what a nice day to end the day.. =).

World War Z...

Her: This may be a bit unconventional of me to be blogging about my new book "World War Z" but I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea after all.

Recently, I decided to follow Frank's advice on taking a look at this book he had been so fascinated about last fall. After becoming a fan of "Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles" Wii Game and many nights of margaritas and Zoombie shooting (having Frank as my partner, I became V AKA "the QUEEN of critical shot", lol). As this post's writer I am allowed to give myself some credit....

Back to the book, I thought why not? this may be super interesting and exciting, and indeed it has been. I am not done with the book yet but the writing of the accounts in the form of interviews between the author and the characters catches your attention at all times. The personal accounts offers you a global view describing the changing religious, politics and everything that follows after a war. In this case a Zombie War.
Taking place in the 2010s, the book is about war against zombies. The happenings are all over the planet. From remote places, to a global pandemic to mass panic (if you are familiar, zombies come to you, they don't act like a predator; but like a virus, and that causes terror) and then to an armed struggle to reclaim the planet from the undead.
I have been so motivated to finishing this book and see how it resolves but at the end of the day with droopy eyes that I am lucky if I finish the 5th page. Following with dreams about the last page, it is crazy to think being in a situation like that and the whereabouts and the what to do.

Two nights ago I came across a video on youtube and wonder if anyone saw it (Zombies Run Hacked Road Signs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKVwwSto7iA
I apologize for the inconvinience but I don't know how to upload videos from the internet straight to it.

Watching that.. you may want to take a look at this too ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMvAzYH1xHM

Haha.. you may be thinking what is up with her, but thought it was kind of funny... and the song gets stuck in your head... it actually became one of our favorite songs.

Ultimately, how is that Resident Evil 5 isn't coming on the Wii?

As you may see... I might have become a fan.

Did I just spent an hour on this?

Basketball updates

HER: Here are a few pictures of today's game =).

HEROSCAPE

Sebastian and Frank defining the rules of the game.

HER: Frank's enthusiasm of introducing board games to Sebastian gives a new meaning to "face to face" adventures. This has been a mind blowing experience for Sebastian. Taking his imagination to the next level.
Being able to set the battlefield to picking his army (you have Hulk, Spiderman, Iron man, Captain America and others teaming up against the bad guys). Goals for scenarios range from "destroy all of your opponent's figures" to make it through.
To accomplish a goal, players determine in which order to move their armies, then move and attack. Attacks are carried out when the enemy is within range. Dice are used to resolve an attack. It's so simple that is so much fun to see him being so involved.
