Vanessa's Parents Arrive
HIM: Vanessa's parents arrived from Lima on Wednesday. Since then we have been out AND in to dinner (blue cheese and portabella mushroom prime rib last night!), seen Spider Man 3, explored French Lick Casino (where Vanessa broke even with a $5.00 investment...), tasted some wines at the French Lick Winery, and drove through Indiana University's Bloomington campus. After last night's delicious feast, Sebastian and I took his little toy work bench outside and sanded down his walking stick. We got it nice and smooth, then sealed it with some spray stain.

Isn't he the greatest? Frank has been the nicest, greatest, funniest, the most understanding and the most patientce since my parents arrive in IN. Like outsiders, they have been wanting to do and explore as much as tehy can. Meeting with Frank has been so pleasant. I am so lucky!
I guess the NYC trip is off the books? Pity, other than the conjucntivitis ("Pink Eye") that I somehow acquired (probably through grading papers), I was ready to be a gracious, if slightly red-eyed and contagious, host.
Spider-Man 3 was fun! A bit too much going on (I think they should have left the Sand-Man or Harry out and focused on Venom) but still rather action packed.
Hope your parents are having a good time!
On an unrelated note, my Grandfather used to call me Peanut as my nickname (he had nicknames for us all).
